’ve added a source of online marketing news stories to the website. Here’s the pick of the stories over the last week.
For me the big story last week was the launch of the free keyword suggestion tool by Wordtracker. It’s not often that such opportunities for doing something special come along. Result - a great new keyword tool for people to use, and lots of links and positive publicity for Wordtracker.
Also in the news was the launch of two business blogs. Now of course that in itself is not news but it is always interesting to see how business blogs develop over time in terms of content and engagement with readers. You can find out more about the blogs here:
Google was voted the world’s most influential brand in a study published by BrandChannel.com. To further reinforce its position, the search engine giant also announced that its profits nearly tripled to $1.03 billion - see Amazon’s profit crashes while Google flies.
And BrandChannel.com were surprised to see two other web brands in the top 10 list for the first time - YouTube.com and Wikipedia.com - both sites consisting entirely of user-generated content coming in at positions 3 and 4. See the full story here: Google Wins on BrandChannel.com.
And my final pick from last week’s stories is a new housing market predictor site, Housing market forecast site launched. According to web developer, Mike Colpitts, “We are the first to provide up to date information in real time forecasts on local real estate markets in just about every sizeable community in the nation.”
