Ecommerce provider Focus Solutions has signed what has been described as a "significant" contract with the UK division of leading insurer Aegon.
The deal is said to center around the development of a new extranet service for Aegon Scottish Equitable, but Focus is also expected to work with Aegon UK's IT department to improve ecommerce channels.
The majority of the work will be carried out in 2008.
"Focus remains at the forefront of ecommerce, developing innovative front-end solutions for our customers and this project with Aegon UK further strengthens our presence in this space," commented Focus chief executive Richard Stevenson.
"This contract helps us to underpin our expectations for the current year," he added, according to SmallCapNews.co.uk.
Insurance provider Aegon is based in the Hague, the Netherlands, with major markets in the US and UK. The firm recently published strong third-quarter earnings, with net income up 47 per cent in the past year.
