Florida-based software manufacturer Chain Reaction Ecommerce (CRE) has unveiled the latest version of its open source shopping cart application CRE Loaded.
Ecommerce retailers already using the management program can download the latest version - CRE Loaded 6.2 SP1 - for free from the company's website.
The latest manifestation of the shopping cart application includes a range of new services, upgrades and fixes, as well as new tie-ups with company partners.
For instance, PayPal Pro and PayPal certification is now included, transactions are now bonded by BuySAFE for added security and customers can earn loyalty points via MyStoreRewards.
The updated program also includes added support for Google feeds, while compatibility issues with Godaddy.com have been resolved. Coupon handling has been enhanced, order editing made easier and Spanish language sites are now fully supported.
The admin panel also includes access to CRE MerchantSM for the best credit card processing rates and CRE MessengerSM, which supports customer service chat.
More than 100,000 ecommerce sites currently use CRE Loaded 6.2, according to its manufacturers.
