Free Ads Online UK launched

A Web 2.0 portal offering free advertising and classifieds has been launched in the UK.

The launch of Free Ads Online UK follows a successful launch of its flagship site in the US.

It is unique to other classifieds sites in that users do not have to search from within the site.

Free Ads can be searched from popular search engines including MSN and Google which gives the ads more exposure to a wider audience.

Its quick and simple design also benefits users and the most recent picture are shown on the website's homepage where users can see the new ad tiles.

The site creators have teamed up with Wikio, an e-commerce site based in Luxembourg, to access and distribute the content.

Users are also able to add Skype, making selling and buying products online much simpler and more accessible.

A spokesman for the site said: "The internet in 2009 is about giving the community more choice and more information.

"The Free Ads UK Wiki style website allows for more choice and more freedom of information. Anyone can publish free ads, and more – and all of it for free and because of its smart Web 2.0 programming, the users control the ads settings."
