Companies are managing to be more flexible due to their use of IT hosting, a technology company has claimed.
ThinkGrid has observed that there is much more scope for working out of the office and on the go due to the advantages of the internet.
It indicated that employees can also benefit from this by continuing their work when they are away from the hub of their businesses during working hours.
Rob Lovell, chief executive and co-founder of ThinkGrid, said: "That empowers people a little bit more to continue their career and continues to attribute to the business even though they are away from it the majority of the time," he stated.
"People want to be away from the office but want to continue their careers, but they need the ability to integrate with the business on flexible times."
The Equal Pay and Flexible Work Bill, which deals with issues of flexible working, had its second reading in the House of Lords in January.
