Popular US hip hop artist Kanye West has disclosed that cyber criminals have hacked into his Gmail, Myspace and Twitter accounts.
The Grammy awarding winning rapper said that hackers are using all three of these services to spread rumours about his sexual orientation.
Citing 12 unauthorised Skype accounts registered under his name, Mr West suggested that he has had his online presence "compromised".
Graham Cluely, analyst at Sophos, suggested that Kanye should "take care" to ensure that their passwords are "not guessed".
He said: " Unfortunately celebrities, however glamorous their wardrobe, are just as human as the rest of us - and just as likely to be make a foolish mistake when it comes to properly securing their online accounts."
Earlier this month, the micro-blogging site Twitter disclosed that some of its most high profile users had been targeted by hackers, including Britney Spears and Barack Obama.
