After more than two years of research and development, a Florida-based firm has launched a new website that forecasts housing market futures in every US state.
The site, HousingPredictor.com, provides local forecasts for over 250 housing markets and believes it to be the first prediction tool of its kind on such a comprehensive scale.
Forecasts on the site are constructed through extensive research of regional economic and political influences and are tailored to each individual housing market.
"Housing Predictor is the original," said web developer Mike Colpitts. "We are the first to provide up to date information in real time forecasts on local real estate markets in just about every sizeable community in the nation."
He added: "As we grow we will be adding more local markets."
Other features to be included in the site are the best and worst 25 housing market forecasts as well as tips on buying and selling real estate and links to mortgage providers.
Traffic to the site is said to be growing rapidly as the internet is now used as a research medium in 80 per cent of house purchases.
