SME marketing blog officially opens

A marketing advice firm has officially launched a blog to encourage discussion and relay advice to small business owners about how to improve their advertising strategies.

The Not Just Pretty blog, itself a marketing arm of a small business, will discuss a large variety of advertising techniques including logo, website and marketing material design.

As the internet is fast-becoming most businesses' primary focus for their publicity drive, a key part of the blog will discuss search engine optimisation (SEO) strategies, which can at once move sites up consumers' searches and improve the success of pay per click ad campaigns.

"The purpose for this blog is to discuss branding from a small business' perspective, with an emphasis on branding effectiveness," said Elf Design founder Erin Ferree. "A deep exploration into each topic will be offered with real, valuable information and actionable tips.

"This information will improve small business graphics' overall effectiveness, create bottom line results and help to close more sales."

Although there is already a sizeable amount of SEO information and marketing techniques already on the web, this blog claims to be unique due to its focus solely on the small business owner, who will have limited resources with which to operate the strategies.

To improve its own optimisation and increase its traffic, the blog has an RSS feed and sign-up email delivery system.
