A new independent consumer feedback forum has been launched, providing service for all ecommerce businesses.

Feefo is not an open blog or forum, but instead gives customers the chance to feedback on their buying experiences, enabling new buyers to make informed purchasing decisions.

The aim of Feefo is to boost sales by allowing potential customers to view real customer feedback. This aims to increase the credibility of online merchants.

Feedback can also offer benefits to merchants, enabling them to make improvements to the delivery of their service.

It also provides a portal for customers to influence the business community to offer more efficient services and methods of delivery.

Barry Shrier, CEO of Feefo, said: "Feefo provides free, eBay-style consumer feedback, ratings and customer review functionality for any internet business, including catalogue retailers, banks, airlines and other online merchants."

The Feefo programme was recently ranked among the 2007 Red Herring Europe 100 finalists.
