Every businessperson dreams of riding off into the sunset with a fantastic career behind them and a healthy bank balance to boot. Getting on the road to that success is not always as straightforward as might appear.
Sometimes in business it pays to evaluate a company's position honestly– even those companies that the owners really want to believe in. They might just find that with a bit of thought there's a better path open to them that'll be far more profitable.
This turned out to be the case for one businesswoman who ended up on the pages of CNN Money as a result of her excellent decision to move her business's focus.

There is little doubt though, that whatever ups and downs have been experienced so far, the business will greatly benefit from the fantastic online PR brought about as a result of the story.
Scoot Richmond sells scooters. It has two varieties of brand new rides on offer as well as an assortment of older, more vintage models that date back as far as the 1960s.
The store is owned by Chelsea Lahmers, who before opening the shop ran a mail-order business that specialized in the sale of vintage scooter parts.
Scoot Richmond was opened in 2007 because, as Ms Lahmer openly admits, her mail-order business just wasn't cutting it.
She said: "It was nearly impossible to make a profit in mail order. All my money went into inventory."
Her decision to change direction has so far proven to be a pretty good one as the new business continues to grow.
In 2007, the shop sold 50 scooters. Last year it sold 378 with sales reaching $1.1 million.
That said, it's not all been smooth going. She has had to put up with alleged embezzlement by an employee and the associated financial perils that are associated with the business and personal recovery.
However, with any luck, these will turn out to be little more than bumps in the road - a road that owing to her change of direction, now appears to be headed for that much sought-after sunset.
